Spammer Pays $7 Million to Microsoft in Settlement

Scott Richter, owner of OptInRealBig.com, has agreed to pay $7 million to Microsoft. Spam traps had caught 8,000 emails in May and June, identifying Richter as one of the top three spammers in the world. Microsoft has stated that after covering the legal expenses for the case, the money received will be used to further combat spam.
